The Get Caught Reading Marketing Task Force oversees Get Caught Reading, a national campaign first launched in May of 1999 to encourage reading and book buying. Get Caught Reading is directed at infrequent or lapsed readers of all ages and serves as a surprising, eye-catching reminder of the joys of reading. Celebrity supporters include Robin Williams, Whoopi Goldberg, Rosie O'Donnell, Dolly Parton, and Jake Lloyd. Members of the Task Force guide campaign activities and promote the campaign within their own companies by including the logo in advertisements, creating and distributing campaign materials, and working to secure support from all segments of the publishing industry including magazines, newspapers, retailers, distributors, wholesalers and others
