DOUGLAS LAFRENIER is Director of Publication Sales & Market Development at the American Institute of Physics. He has held previous positions at Macmillan, McGraw-Hill, the Scientific American Library, and Robert Ubell Associates, a publishing consulting firm in New York City. He is a member of the Special Libraries Association, the North American Serials Interest Group, and the Society for Scholarly Publishing, and is a former member of the SSP Board of Directors. He is on the STM marketing advisory committee, and has been a frequent speaker at meetings of SSP, PSP, the Council of Engineering and Scientific Society Executives, and the Charleston Conference.
