Inspections in China Lead to Enforcement Against Major University in Shanghai
In China, AAP partnered with the UK Publishers Association to inspect multiple universities in six cities throughout the country, checking university textbook centers for signs of infringing activity. On September 25th, 2008, the Shanghai Municipal Copyright Bureau successfully raided Jiaotong University (Minghang Campus) in Shanghai, seizing 743 unauthorized copies from the textbook center located on campus. Titles confiscated belonged to John Wiley & Sons, Springer, McGraw-Hill, Pearson Education, American Mathematical Society, and WH Freeman.
